Honda Elevate achieves 1 lakh sales globally

Honda Elevate owners in India have collectively driven over 32.6 crore kilometers.
Honda Cars India has surpassed one lakh cumulative sales of its global SUV model, the Honda Elevate. Since its launch in September 2023, the Elevate has gained traction both in domestic and international markets, with 53,326 units sold in India and 47,653 units exported to countries including Japan, South Africa, Nepal, and Bhutan as of January 2025.

The Elevate is manufactured exclusively in India at HCIL’s Tapukara plant in Rajasthan. It is the largest export contributing model for HCIL, helping the company achieve a 65% growth in exports in FY 2023-24, with a further 92% increase in the ongoing financial year (April 2024–January 2025).

A strong performer in the SUV market

The SUV has carved a niche for itself, earning appreciation from customers and industry experts alike. It has received over 20 automobile awards, including titles like Car of the Year, Viewer’s Choice Car of the Year, and SUV of the Year.

The car has attracted a diverse consumer base—22% of buyers are first-time car owners, reflecting the aspirations of young Indian consumers. Meanwhile, 43% of Elevate customers have purchased it as an additional car, appealing to those looking to expand their household fleet.


Customer preference for high-end features

53% buyers have opted for the top-end ZX variant, which comes equipped with Honda Sensing, company’s advanced driver assistance system. Additionally, 79% of customers prefer the CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) option, highlighting a growing demand for automatic transmission. Since its debut, Honda Elevate owners in India have collectively driven over 32.6 crore kilometers.

The model since its global debut has garnered exceptional admiration and acceptance among customers across age profiles for its bold styling, comfortable in-cabin experience, exceptional ‘Fun to Drive’ dynamics and advanced safety package," he added.

The SUV is also compliant with E20 fuel (20% ethanol-blended petrol), aligning with the industry’s shift toward sustainable mobility.
