Air India & Singapore Airlines Expand Partnership; 11 Indian Cities, 40 Global Destinations Added

Air India and Singapore Airlines (SIA) are taking their partnership to the next level by expanding their codeshare agreement, adding 11 Indian cities and 40 international destinations.

This is their biggest codeshare expansion since 2010, giving travelers more options between Singapore and India, as well as to other global spots.

Starting October 27, 2024, both airlines will codeshare on flights between Singapore and Bengaluru and Chennai, increasing weekly services from 14 to 56.

SIA will also codeshare on Air India’s domestic routes, connecting Delhi to cities like Amritsar, Bengaluru, Lucknow, and Varanasi, and from Mumbai to cities like Goa, Jaipur, and Kolkata.

Air India passengers will enjoy access to 29 new destinations across SIA’s network, including cities in Australia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, and more. Meanwhile, SIA passengers will be able to connect to Air India flights from Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai to places like Paris, London, Nairobi, and Riyadh.

Air India’s Chief Commercial Officer, Nipun Aggarwal, said, “We also look forward to welcoming Singapore Airlines customers on board our flights within India as well as westward to multiple points across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East via our hubs in India.”

Singapore Airlines’ Chief Commercial Officer, Lee Lik Hsin, added, “Adding Air India’s domestic network to our codeshare arrangements will also offer our customers enhanced connectivity and convenience in India, which is a key market for the SIA Group.”

Both airlines are planning to include even more destinations soon. The codeshare flights will be available for booking once approved by regulators.
