Bookings for the LX 500d are now open, with customers able to reserve their vehicle at any Lexus Guest Experience Centre or through the official Lexus India website.

Lexus India has officially opened bookings for the new LX 500d SUV. Available in two grades—Urban and Overtrail—the LX 500d is priced at Rs 3 crore and Rs 3.12 crore respectively.

Key features and technology

The LX 500d boasts several advanced features, including the Lexus Safety System +3.0, which enhances safety with multiple systems such as Pre-Collision System (PCS), Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC), Lane Trace Assist (LTA), and Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM).

Additionally, the SUV is equipped with Lexus Connect Technology, offering remote access to various services via smartphones and other devices.

The Overtrail grade, aimed at more adventurous customers, features exclusive off-road enhancements, such as front and rear differential locks, higher profile tyres, and matte grey aluminium wheels.

This grade also provides unique interior and exterior design elements, including the exclusive 'Moon Desert' body colour and Overtrail Khaki interior. In contrast, the Urban grade comes with a selection of exterior colours like Sonic Quartz and Sonic Titanium, paired with luxurious interior finishes crafted using traditional Japanese techniques, the company said in a media release.

Specifications and performance

The LX 500d is powered by a 3.3-litre V6 twin-turbo diesel engine, producing 227 kW at 4000 rpm and a torque of 700 Nm between 1600-2600 rpm.

The engine is paired with a Direct Shift 10-speed automatic transmission and benefits from 4-wheel Active Height Control and Adaptive Variable Suspension. The vehicle is capable of providing a smooth and responsive driving experience, both on and off-road.

For added comfort, the LX 500d features a new air bladder-based seat massager, designed to reduce fatigue for front-seat occupants. In terms of safety, the vehicle is equipped with 10 SRS airbags, a head-up display, and a tire inflation pressure warning system, further contributing to its robust safety package, the company said.

Service and warranty

Lexus India offers an 8-year/160,000 km vehicle warranty on all new models sold from June 2024. The company also provides a 5-year Roadside Assistance programme and various Lexus Luxury Care service packages, including options for 3, 5, or 8 years, depending on customer preferences.

Bookings for the LX 500d are now open, with customers able to reserve their vehicle at any Lexus Guest Experience Centre or through the official Lexus India website.
