Moglix launches biofuels as a new category on its platform

Moglix will leverage its platform to simplify the procurement of biofuels, providing industries with a variety of biomass-based fuels that can be accessed year-round.
Moglix, a B2B e-commerce company in Asia, has introduced biofuels as a new category on its platform to support India's clean energy objectives.

By launching a structured, full-stack solution, Moglix intends to improve the procurement process for businesses across India, offering consistent fuel quality, reliable access, and efficient delivery.

The solid biofuels--which includes products such as briquettes, pellets, biochar, and bio-coal--market is quite fragmented and decentralised, posing a major challenge for the industry in terms of access and supply chain efficiency.

Streamlining biofuel supply

Moglix will leverage its platform to simplify the procurement of biofuels, providing industries with a variety of biomass-based fuels that can be accessed year-round.

The company promises on-time delivery, consistent quality, and long-term rate contracts to ensure a stable supply of biofuels. The initiative also focuses on improving the biomass sourcing ecosystem by directly working with farmers, facilitating the structured trade of agro-waste to boost rural incomes.

Rahul Garg, founder and CEO of Moglix, said, “India’s energy transition requires scalable and dependable alternatives, and biofuels have great potential. However, the current fragmented market has hindered progress. Our goal is to create a transparent ecosystem that enables industries to transition smoothly to more sustainable energy sources.”

The company also plans to invest in biomass densification technology to improve fuel efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
