Dassault Systèmes has launched SOLIDWORKS CPQ, a new configure, price, and quote solution powered by generative AI. This new offering, announced at the 3DEXPERIENCE World event, aims to streamline the order and delivery of customized products by connecting various aspects of the manufacturing process, from design and development to sales. The solution will be available this summer. It leverages the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to integrate product portfolio management, development, manufacturing, and sales into a dynamic virtual experience.

A step to make operations easier

SOLIDWORKS CPQ allows businesses to define and design a customizable product portfolio that aligns with customer needs, enabling the rapid creation of accurate quotes. This configure-to-order approach expands the functionality of SOLIDWORKS applications, integrating product portfolio managers and sales teams into the manufacturing process.

The solution connects product configurability rules to a virtual twin on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. SOLIDWORKS CPQ utilizes virtual twins, virtual design companions, generative experiences, and sense computing to go beyond the capabilities of traditional CPQ solutions. This allows design teams to evaluate various factors like material selection, structural integrity, availability, and cost to make optimal choices.

Depicting products in a virtual world

Technical sales engineers can utilize SOLIDWORKS CPQ to quickly generate accurate quotes and create 3D configured products. These products can then be experienced by customers through virtual reality, providing an immersive view of the completed project.
