Eurogrip Tyres has launched its Trailhound tyre line in India on February 24, 2025. The launch offers two variants: Trailhound SCR for modern-classic roadsters and scramblers, and Trailhound STR for medium and large adventure motorcycles.

The company aims to cater to the expanding adventure riding segment in India with these new offerings, building upon their prior international launch at EICMA in Italy.

The Indian launch expands the brand's premium product range. The two variants are designed with specific features to cater to different riding styles and motorcycle types.

The design of the Trailhound tyres utilises both artistic and scientific principles. This dual approach impacts the performance of the tyres, emphasising both aesthetics and functionality. The tread patterns and material composition are key elements of the design process, the company said.

Trailhound SCR tyres

The Trailhound SCR tyres are engineered with a radial structure featuring a 0° steel belt for enhanced handling and control at various speeds. They also incorporate an X-ply structure with synthetic fibres for increased lateral stiffness and resistance against bumps.

The Trailhound SCR's compound combines high silica and carbon black to increase grip on asphalt in both dry and wet conditions. The variable radius profile optimises the contact patch size and shape depending on the motorcycle's lean angle. The knobby-like pattern balances asphalt performance with traction on gravel, dirt, stone paving, and even broken tarmac.

Trailhound STR tyres

Similar to the SCR, the Trailhound STR tyres utilise a radial structure with a 0° steel belt for superior handling and agility. The X-ply structure with synthetic fibres enhances lateral stiffness and bump resistance.

The Trailhound STR features a Quadrazone multicompound layout with dual tread compounds and two additional layers to enhance grip, mileage, and stability. The 80% silica content further improves grip on cold and wet tarmac surfaces.
