Mahindra is integrating electric vehicle training modules alongside conventional powertrain servicing. This integration prepares the service network for the transition to EVs.Mahindra inaugurated a new training facility, the Mahindra Institute of Learning Excellence (MILE), in Kolkata's Automall to enhance the technical expertise of its channel partners, international distributors, and fleet owners.
Built in an area exceeding 12,000 square feet, the facility focuses on improving after-sales support and customer experience, particularly in the East and Northeast regions, and addresses the evolving automotive landscape, including electric vehicles.
Keeping pace with auto technology trends
This new facility is designed to accommodate the shifting automotive industry, including advancements in electric mobility and next-generation vehicle technologies. The facility will improve service and ensure a better ownership experience for Mahindra customers.
The training center is equipped to handle Mahindra’s electric vehicle lineup, including instruction on the INGLO electric architecture, MAIA intelligence, battery technology, and diagnostics. It aims to equip service teams with the necessary skills for the future of mobility.
Skill development program
The Mahindra Institute of Learning Excellence can train more than 100 participants simultaneously. This large capacity allows for extensive skill development programs. Its location in Kolkata's automotive hub makes it accessible to participants from the surrounding areas.
More than five demonstration bays are available for hands-on, practical learning experiences. These bays replicate real-world scenarios for effective training.
Modern collision repair amenities provide specialized training in body repairs, structural integrity assessments, and accident damage evaluation. Technicians will receive training on bodywork, structural analysis, and damage assessment.
Dedicated sections for aggregate overhaul cover engines, transmissions, axles, differentials, automatic transmissions, and electronically assisted transmissions (EATs) for BS6 and 6.2 compliance. These sections provide in-depth training on various powertrain components.
