Apollo Tyres has appointed Parmeshwaran Iyer as its new Chief Supply Chain Officer. Iyer will be responsible for leading the global supply chain team and optimising operations. He will focus on aligning demand forecasting, production planning, and logistics with business goals to enhance competitiveness and sustainable growth. Iyer will be based in Gurugram, India, and report to Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, Neeraj Kanwar.

Experience

Iyer comes to Apollo Tyres from Beiersdorf AG, where he held several key positions. His experience spans across Germany, UAE, Russia, and India. Most recently, he served as Global Vice-President, Digital Supply Chain, focusing on digital transformation initiatives. Prior to this, he led the global competency team, focusing on planning, logistics, and customer service.

Iyer also led the Regional Supply Chain for Beiersdorf AG, covering 88 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, Russia/CIS, and Southwest Asia, including India. Before Beiersdorf AG, he worked with Johnson & Johnson, Total Energies India, and Daikin Airconditioning.

In his new role at Apollo Tyres, Iyer plans to prioritise the digitalisation of the supply chain and incorporate environmentally responsible practices. He aims to enhance the overall efficiency and sustainability of the company’s supply chain network.
