Tuono 457 Aprilia has launched the Tuono 457 in India, its most affordable model, priced at INR 3.95 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings are open, with deliveries starting in March.
Diego Graffi, Chairman and MD, Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd, said, “I am thrilled to introduce to India the Aprilia Tuono 457, a year after we introduced the segment disruptor Aprilia RS457. The Tuono 457 has a number of differences that render it all the more exclusive: it is the only bike in the range that does not have a fairing integrated into the frame. In its place - for the first time on a Tuono -is a pared-back light cluster, worthy of a true naked bike. It’s the most non-conformist and rebellious Tuono that has ever been, and whilst it retains the core features of all Tuono bikes, the new model boasts an all-new look, designed to satisfy the needs and desires of the youngest generation at which it is aimed.”
Features
The Tuono 457 shares its engine with the RS 457, a 457cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin producing 47 hp and 43.5 Nm of torque. A six-speed gearbox manages power delivery. A quickshifter is available as an optional accessory.
The availability of multiple riding modes and switchable ABS enhances rider control and safety. The 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity provides riders with essential information and convenient features.
Brand Ambassador John Abraham also expressed his views, “Like many other bikers, I was also hoping for a Tuono 457 to be introduced to India. The Aprilia Tuono has a legendary portfolio and I am sure the new Tuono 457 will completely dominate the naked segment. The bike is agile, powerful and looks distinct and incredible, all things that one expects from Aprilia. I think this will be the perfect city and urban riding bike and I cant wait to get this bike home.”
Design
It features a minimalist and muscular aesthetic, with a small central headlamp, boomerang-shaped LED DRLs, and an underbelly exhaust. The bike's sporty character is further emphasized by extended tank shrouds, exposed frame, split seats, and a floating tail section. It's available in Piranha Red and Puma Grey.
The motorcycle's suspension setup comprises preload-adjustable USD front forks and a rear monoshock. Braking is handled by disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS. The Tuono 457 rides on 17-inch alloy wheels.
Aprilia has included several features, including a 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. Riders can utilize traction control, multiple riding modes, and switchable ABS. The company is also offering a three-year warranty and complimentary service for the same duration.
The availability of a quickshifter as an optional accessory caters to riders seeking enhanced performance. The inclusion of a three-year warranty and complimentary service adds value to the ownership experience. The Tuono 457's two color options provide choices for riders with varying preferences. The motorcycle’s arrival marks a significant development for Aprilia in India.
