South Korean auto major Kia has unveiled the EV4 sedan and hatchback models, ahead of its second Kia EV Day event in Tarragona, Spain. The EV4 aims to broaden Kia's EV appeal with a modern design and advanced technologies targeting lifestyle-focused buyers. Kia plans to reveal more about its electrification strategy at the event on February 24, with detailed EV4 features revealed on February 27 and an event video released in March.

Karim Habib, Executive Vice-President and Head of Kia Global Design, emphasized the EV4’s embodiment of modernity and practicality, catering to varying customer lifestyles and needs. He highlighted the company's commitment to rethinking mobility and pushing design boundaries.

Habib further described the EV4 sedan's sleek, low-nose, and long-tail silhouette and the EV4 hatchback as a nimble, versatile all-rounder designed to excel in various situations.

The EV4's design philosophy, ‘Opposites United,’ highlights harmony through contrasts, particularly within the compact segment. The design blends sharp lines and bold technical detailing in the vehicle’s dynamic profiles. The EV4 sedan and hatchback share a striking front-end design featuring Kia's 'EV Tiger Face,' vertically oriented headlamps, and the 'Star Map' lighting signature. This combination emphasizes the vehicle's wide, sporty stance and refined character.

The EV4 sedan’s streamlined silhouette features a low hood line flowing into a long-tail design. A unique roof spoiler enhances the premium aesthetic. Machined 19-inch wheels with intricate stripe patterns highlight the ‘Opposites United’ design ethos, stated the company.
