Anurag Mehrotra, MD, JSW MG Motor India JSW MG Motor India appointed Anurag Mehrotra as its new Managing Director (MD), replacing Rajeev Chaba. Mehrotra brings three decades of automotive experience in sales, marketing, strategy, and business development.
The change in leadership comes at a time when MG Motor India focuses on expanding its New Energy Vehicle (NEV) offerings. Chaba will remain involved as an advisor. ETAuto has recently reported about the stepping down of Chief Growth Officer, Gaurav Gupta.
Anurag Mehrotra, who will be based in Gurugram, will lead strategic growth and strengthen the company's four brand pillars: diversity, experience, innovation, and community.
Rajeev Chaba, the outgoing MD, played a key role in establishing the MG brand in India. He will continue to contribute to the company as a member of the Joint Steering Committee, advising management and shareholders.
Previous stints
Mehrotra’s prior experience includes roles as Vice-President of Strategy & International Business at Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles and President & MD at Ford India. MG Motor India is looking to capitalise on Mehrotra’s experience in the Indian and international markets.
