The Regional Transport Office (RTO) has launched One Time Settlement (OTS) scheme to ensure that 32,392 commercial vehicle owners in the district pay the outstanding tax.

Under this scheme, vehicle owners will have to pay the basic tax, while other penalties will be exempted. So far, only 1,364 vehicle owners have applied. In such a situation, after the scheme ends on February 5, the officials will send attachment notices to the vehicle owners.

Auto, tempo, loader, maxi cab, bus, truck, and other commercial vehicles registered with the RTO office have to pay tax as per their scheduled time. A large number of vehicle owners and transporters pay the entire year's tax together for exemption.
