Nissan has launched the updated Magnite in India, with prices starting at just Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the first 10,000 buyers.
The new model is available in six variants and offers two engine options, each with both automatic and manual transmission choices.
The 2024 Magnite showcases a refreshed design, featuring a new front fascia and stylish chrome inserts. The alloy wheels also sport a new design, while the rear retains the same shape for the tail lamps but has updated elements for a modern touch.
The interior layout remains similar, but Nissan has upgraded the steering wheel and added fresh color schemes for the touch surfaces and upholstery. The top-of-the-line Magnite boasts impressive features, including a 360-degree camera, wireless phone mirroring, height adjustment for the driver’s seat, powered mirrors, a HEPA air filter, LED headlamps, and LED daytime running lights (DRLs).
Customers can choose between two engines: a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 71 bhp and 96 Nm, available with a five-speed manual or five-speed AMT. The turbo petrol option delivers a robust 99 bhp and 160 Nm, with choices of a six-speed manual or CVT.
The Magnite will face tough competition from popular models like the Maruti Brezza, Toyota Taigo, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Maruti Fronx, and Mahindra XUV300. This updated version marks the beginning of Nissan’s ambitious product strategy for India, which will include a two-row C-SUV, a three-row C-SUV, and an electric version of the Magnite in the near future.
