Itaru Otani, Chairman, Yamaha Motor India Group along with Management and Employees rolled out the One Millionth R15 from Surajpur Plant, Greater Noida, IndiaYamaha Motor India has announced the production of one million units of its popular R15 motorcycle. This milestone was achieved at the company's Surajpur plant and represents over 16 years of production. The majority of these motorcycles, over 90%, were sold within India, showcasing the bike's popularity and Yamaha's commitment to the Indian market. The R15 also plays a role in Yamaha's global export strategy.
The Yamaha R15 has been a significant model for the company in India since its 2008 launch. It has consistently been a top performer in the performance motorcycle segment. Production has increased with each new generation of the bike to meet growing demand. This success reinforces Yamaha's manufacturing capabilities and adherence to global quality standards.
